Dione

Dione Assis is an attorney, holds a Master's degree in Law from the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV Rio Law School), and specializes in Public and Private Law from the Rio de Janeiro State School of the Judiciary (EMERJ). She is a partner at Galdino Advogados, where she practices in corporate restructuring and business recovery, with a focus on strategic corporate litigation.

She is the founder of Black Sisters in Law (BSL), an initiative that brings together more than 8,000 Black women lawyers in Brazil and abroad. The organization has been recognized with awards from the São Paulo Bar Association (OAB/SP) and the City of Rio de Janeiro for its social impact. Her professional trajectory has also been honored by the Rio de Janeiro Bar Association (OABRJ) with the Evandro Lins e Silva Medal, in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the defense of the Democratic Rule of Law and the legal profession. More recently, she was awarded the Pedro Ernesto Medal by the Rio de Janeiro City Council.

Dione is a member of the Women's Business Council of the Rio de Janeiro Commercial Association (ACRJ) and an alumna of the C101 program, having completed executive education at the Brazilian Institute of Corporate Governance (IBGC), UCLA, and Fundação Dom Cabral. She is widely recognized for her leadership, strategic vision, and commitment to advancing diversity and equity within the legal profession.
