He is a professor in the Postgraduate Course in Social Urbanism at Insper. He presided over Amnesty International in Brazil and co-directed the Educational Resources Center at the Inter-American Institute of Human Rights. He served as National Secretary of Public Security at the Ministry of Justice, Secretary of Public Security and Penitentiary Administration, and Chief Secretary of Strategic Affairs of Goiás, and Secretary of Citizenship of Pará.
