Pedro Pimenta is an economist, entrepreneur, and author of the bestseller Superar é Viver (Overcoming is Living). His journey is an example of resilience and transformation. He is one of the first quadruple amputees in the world to live with complete autonomy. In 2009, at age 18, severe meningitis nearly took his life. The price of his second chance was high: the amputation of his arms and legs.
