Nando Monteiro
Nando Monteiro is a musician, composer, and historian, with over thirty years of work that integrates research, musical creation, and education. In 2022, he created the program What does it mean to be Brazilian?, broadcast on BandNews TV, where he leads, alongside journalist Juliana Rosa, deep conversations about identity and belonging with artists, thinkers, and protagonists of Brazilian life. As a musician, Nando was part of the project Novidades da Nova on Nova Brasil FM, and had his songs produced by renowned music producers such as Plínio Profeta and Donatinho. His musical work dialogues with Brazilian popular culture and affective memory.
Tupi or not Tupi, Belonging to Undertake
Shakespeare's "To be or not to be, that is the question" was transformed in Brazil by the poet and philosopher Oswald de Andrade into "Tupi or not Tupi that is the question" in the Anthropophagic Manifesto of May 1928.
