Fernando de Holanda Barbosa Filho
Researcher at the Brazilian Institute of Economics of the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV-IBRE) since 2006. Graduated from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) in 1998, with a master's degree in Economics from the Graduate School of Economics of the Getulio Vargas Foundation (EPGE-FGV) in 2001 and from New York University (NYU) in 2005, and a PhD in Economics from New York University (NYU) in 2006. He served as Secretary of Public Employment Policies at the Ministry of Economy between 2019 and 2021 and Deputy Secretary of Economic Policy at the Ministry of Finance in 2015. His recent work focuses on labor market, productivity, human capital, development, and economic growth.
