Elbia Gannoum

Elbia is an economist with a PhD in Industrial Economics and has led ABEEólica for 14 years, standing out in advocating for energy transformation and the advancement of renewable sources in Brazil. A mother of three, she also works to promote diversity and inclusion in the sector. She received the CEE Woman of Distinction award (2019), the Folha de S.Paulo Clean Energy Award in the Todas category (2024), and Top of the Year – Energy Leaders (2025). She is a global ambassador for Women in Wind and has over 25 years of experience, including positions at CCEE, the Ministries of Mines and Energy and Finance, ANEEL, as well as academic work and publications in the field of regulation and electricity
