Conversing with AIs is already part of work, creation, and even emotional care. But what does this relationship transform in us? Drawing from semiotics and psychology, this panel investigates how AI acts as a new symbolic environment, shaping meanings, authority, and identity. By discussing the role of AI in work and its emergence as a possible space for listening, the conversation proposes to reflect on autonomy and subjectivity in the era of machines that respond. To undertake, in this context, is to navigate the boundary between delegating to the machine and preserving what is non-negotiably human.
