Cia Deborah Colker
Deborah Colker is a Brazilian choreographer, director, and dancer. During the 1970s, 1980s, and early 1990s, she worked with leading dance companies and renowned Brazilian theatre artists as a movement director. In 1994, she founded the Deborah Colker Company, whose repertoire includes 15 creations and has earned prestigious awards such as the Laurence Olivier Awards and the Prix Benois de la Danse. She was the first woman to create and direct a production for Cirque du Soleil, OVO, and served as one of the directors of the Opening Ceremony of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. She has also directed operas at the Metropolitan Opera in New York and is currently touring with Remix.
