Daniel Filipe Soares Souza (Dan Filipe) is an educator at the Emanoel Araujo Afro Brazil Museum, artist, cultural producer, and historian, graduated from the Federal University of Pampa and holds a master's degree from the Graduate Program in History at the Federal University of Pelotas (PPGH-UFPEL) as a Capes scholarship recipient. He develops research related to agrarian history, the Arab world, theory of history, and Black subjects in the post-abolition period, with his most relevant research focusing on the history and memory of the Quilombo Madeira community, the southernmost Quilombo in Brazil, located on the border between Brazil and Uruguay, about which he also developed a feature-length.
