Cecilia Olliveira

Cecília Olliveira is an investigative journalist specialized in covering drug trafficking, weapons, and violence. She is the author of the book Como Nasce um Miliciano and one of the founders of Intercept Brasil. She also founded and directs the Fogo Cruzado Institute, a pioneering organization in producing open data on armed violence in Brazil. She was director of the Brazilian Association of Investigative Journalism (Abraji) and is part of international networks such as the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime and the EU-LAC Women's International Network. She is an advisor to the Latin America Regional Advisory Council (CoALI), linked to the Institute for Integrated Transitions
