Singer, songwriter, and actor with 25 years of career, João Sabiá was born and raised in Copacabana (RJ). Sambalanço and bossa nova are his greatest influences, but his music also dialogues with pop, soul, and jazz, creating a contemporary and unique sound. With 6 original albums released in Brazil, Japan, and Europe, João performed at major international festivals such as Java Jazz Festival (Jakarta, 2026 and 2014), Rock in Rio (Rio de Janeiro, 2015), and Sambakana (Montreal, 2019 and 2023). He also took his music to world-renowned venues like Ronnie Scott's (London, 2012) and BIMHUIS (Amsterdam, 2018). In 2021, he completed an artistic residency in Amsterdam invited by New Amsterdam Jazz NGO and
