Carol Lafemina
Carol Lafemina has 26 years of experience in management, planning and implementation of public policies. She is Superintendent of the Culture Factories at Instituto Poiesis. She was Deputy Secretary of Culture and Creative Economy of São Paulo; Deputy Secretary of Subprefectures and Economic Development, Labor and Tourism; Chief of Staff at Fundação Paulistana de Educação, Tecnologia e Cultura and UNIVESP. At São Paulo State Education Secretariat (2007-2017), she coordinated EVESP, responsible for developing Online English, Online Libras, Civil Defense, Pre-University Course and Arduino Robotics courses for state school students. Culture, Citizenship and New Opportunities
Culture can transform territories, expand horizons and open paths that often seemed inaccessible. The panel discusses how art, education, science and culture can become concrete instruments of citizenship, belonging and creation of new opportunities, especially for children and young people. Drawing from different experiences, the conversation proposes to reflect on how cultural institutions, social projects and public policies can awaken talents, strengthen bonds, expand repertoires and create trajectories of personal and professional development.
