Beatriz Farrugia is a data journalist specialising in online investigations. She uses Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) to investigate disinformation, foreign interference, hate speech and online scams. She is a fellow researcher at Agência Lupa in Brazil and a Senior Analyst at Debunk, a Lithuania-based organisation. She also teaches at FAAP in São Paulo and the University of Derby in the United Kingdom. She is the co-author of 1950: The Price of a World Cup, a book examining the legacy of the FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
