Baobá

28 years old, singer and songwriter from Guarulhos - SP, Baobá takes his place in the music scene with a style that is both ancestral and futuristic, sacred and profane. His sound is marked by the fusion of Afro-Brazilian rhythms and contemporary genres of his time, combining percussiveness and electronic elements. In this construction, he positions himself in AfroPop and Nova MPB music. His artistic research delves into popular cultures, integrating the group Pé de Bananeira and investigating rhythms such as coco de roda and coco de embolada, as well as his experiences in candomblé, which were the foundation for his first original compositions.
