Baiana System

BaianaSystem is a musical project formed in 2009 with the goal of finding new sonic possibilities for the Bahian guitar. The name comes from the combination of 'guitarra baiana' with 'sound system', sound systems created and popularized in Jamaica. The group conceived by Roberto Barreto released its first album in early 2010. The production already featured the presence and creation of Russo Passapusso, who represents the 'sound system' language of the project. With this musical construction, the visual concept also comes together, with visual direction by Filipe Cartaxo and Seko on bass. The four artists form the band's creative core.
